Our City Council today (Tuesday, August 31, 2010) voted down a proposal to bring an American Le Mans Series race to OKC. The contract that was being voted on between the city and Grand Prix LLC called for the city to put up the $7 million dollars needed to construct the course for such a race (with the company paying the city back the entire amount over the next 10 years).
